Der Schulelternrat ist die Versammlung der Vorsitzenden der
Klassenelternvertretungen.
Er tritt zwei- bis dreimal im Jahr zu Sitzungen zusammen, auf denen
aktuelle klassenübergreifende Belange erörtert werden.
Auf diesen Sitzungen gibt in der Regel die Schulleitung einen Bericht
über die Situation an der Schule, verweist auf Probleme und informiert
über Veranstaltungen.
Der Vorstand berichtet über seine Aktivitäten als Vertretung der
Elternschaft, insbesondere im Rahmen der Gremienarbeit auf Kommunalebene
(Stadtelternrat und Regionselternrat) sowie über laufende Projekte.
Der Schulelternrat bringt sich aktiv in die Fortentwicklung der Schule
ein und wirkt in entsprechenden Arbeitsgruppen mit; er unterstützt zudem
die Schulleitung bei der Durchsetzung von Forderungen an den Schulträger.
